EPCOR/Drainage issue

On 28 September 2005, after more than 20 hours of debate and 31 presentations from concerned citizens, and your CUPE Local 30 President, City Council voted 7-6 to reject EPCOR's proposal that it surrender ownership and operation of Edmonton’s sanitary sewage and stormwater drainage system to EPCOR.

Several Councillors mentioned during the public hearing that they had been inundated by phone calls and e-mails from citizens opposed to the proposal. There is no doubt that you helped shape the outcome of this debate.
